Peripatetic Teaching in Schools ...

As well as giving private tuition, I am also experienced in working with schools. This includes communicating with parents and arranging lesson fees and times of lessons. I also offer a free master class each term for the students who are studying with me at the school. This is a performance master class where the students present their songs to the other students who are studying singing at the school. This will be a fun and informal showing to build students confidence.

Classes are also available in music theory. Theory tests are offered by ABRSM and will be required if any student is looking to progress to their grade 8 practical exam. Theory classes are also available to GCSE and A-Level students who want extra help preparing for their final exams. I offer coaching for aural tests that accompany practical grades; this has proven useful for GCSE students and A-Level students who require a knowledge of music theory for their exams.

Special classes are available for schools and colleges who are preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Exams. These classes are aimed at people who can already sing and are looking for extra preparation before their exams. These classes will cover the interpretation of the songs, the style and the performance of the song. These master classes can be after school or during school time. Recommended time for each session is 2 hrs but this can be negotiated. A series of master classes can be arranged if required.
